The NFU has launched a competition for the new @NFUEducation Twitter account which will send the award-winning NFU Discovery Barn to a school of the winner's choice.
The new-look roadshow proved a big hit at the summer shows, where thousands of people got hands-on to learn about British food and farming.
Now competition entrants can put their child’s school in with the chance of a visit simply by following @NFUEducation on Twitter - www.twitter.com/NFUEducation - and retweeting the competition post pinned to the top of the page.
NFU education manager Joshua Payne took up post in September in a new role reflecting an area of future focus for the NFU. He will enhance the awareness of farming in school-age children and play an integral role in giving teachers the confidence to add farming-based elements to the curriculum.
He said: “The new Twitter channel is designed to be a resource with interesting and informative content for teachers. The channel will focus on curriculum focussed content as well as up-to-date news and views from the agri-education sector.
“We’re asking readers to share this competition with any teachers or schools they know so that they also have the opportunity of winning this great prize.”
The competition runs until 30 November. Full terms and conditions are available here.
