Should I Stay Or Should I Go? Now there’s a blast from the past. (1982 to be precise, The Clash.) It could be the theme tune of dog trainers everywhere because convincing a dog to stay when there are patently better things to be doing isn’t easy. 

Or at least, that’s the conventional wisdom. I happen to think it’s a piece of cake, but only if you know a couple of tricks that I stumbled across by accident. I do ‘stay’ without ever saying ‘stay’, incidentally.
